Tim Allen will honor a beloved character from his ’90s sitcom Home Improvement in the course of the special Very last Person Standing crossover episode airing Thursday evening on Fox.
In the episode, titled “Dual Time,” Mike Baxter (Allen) has a tete-a-tete with Tim Taylor (also played by Allen), a household repairman who could be his twin. The Instrument Man brings up Wilson, his former neighbor who only showed half his facial area peeking previously mentioned the picket fence that divided their homes during their quite a few backyard discussions.
Wilson was portrayed by Earl Hindman throughout 202 Property Advancement episodes that aired in between 1991 and 1999. The actor died of lung most cancers in 2003, at 61.
In the exceptional clip higher than, Mike asks Tim, “Who was Wilson?”
“Just one of my neighbors, really,” Tim replies. “For many, many several years, I shared a lot of things with him. He passed away.” He later on adds, “I overlook Wilson. I pass up a ton of stuff.”
Allen tells EW of the tribute, “Earl intended the planet to me and anyone at Dwelling Improvement. It was an organic and natural minute to settle on, each on the set and in our hearts.”
Fox declared in October that the ninth period of Past Person Standing, which kicked off Jan. 3, would be its last. The time premiere released a series of time jumps that identified Mike and his wife, Vanessa (Nancy Travis), with two new grandchildren, and also coping with having their center daughter, Mandy (Molly McCook), and her spouse, Kyle (Christoph Sanders), residing with them.
“Dual Time” will air tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
