A Household Enhancement update! For the duration of the Thursday, January 7, episode of Last Gentleman Standing, Mike Baxter (Tim Allen) hires a handyman to occur fix the rubbish disposal. Enter Tim “The Toolman” Taylor (also Allen), who no more time hosts a Television set exhibit but now is effective for Binford Equipment and is in Colorado for business. When he heard that there was a male in town who resembled him, he had to answer to the phone.
“I experienced this Tv present for 8 years termed Resource Time. They termed me ‘The Toolman,’” Tim states to Mike throughout the episode prior to executing that well-known grunt. “It was kind of my thing.” Mike then responds that the grunt is “a minor aggravating.”
Afterwards in the episode, Mike’s spouse, Vanessa (Nancy Travis), tells her husband about her talk with Tim. “It turns out he has a few grown young children, only boys. He’s good, he’s amusing,” she states. “You fellas are a large amount alike.”
Whilst Tim calls for “more power” — another Dwelling Enhancement nod — he ends up blowing up Mike’s disposal. When he arrives about to apologize, Mike is outside, standing driving a picket doorway, only showing the major half of his facial area.
“That additional electricity stuff labored much better on my clearly show and not so good at my home possibly,” Tim tells Mike, who peeks more than the door. “It’s usually been simpler to open up when I’m just chatting to the best 50 percent of another man’s facial area. … I did it with Wilson.”
Wilson Wilson was Tim’s neighbor in 202 episodes of Dwelling Enhancement who only ever disclosed the top half of his confront. Earl Hindman, who portrayed Wilson, died in 2003 of lung cancer at age 61.
“I shared a ton of things with him. He handed away,” Tim claims. “I overlook Wilson. I skip a ton of stuff.”
The episode finishes with Tim traveling to Mike at get the job done, and the two finally see eye-to-eye just after Mike appears up outdated episodes of Software Time.
“I just want you to know, I assume these are good. Nicely created, clever, amusing,” Mike suggests, with Tim noting that he misses the present. With that, Mike tells him that maybe they ought to do a reboot with “more electricity.”

The comedian earlier opened up with Us Weekly solely about reprising the part, which he performed from 1991 to 1999.
“It seemed strange and place on and phony” bringing back Tim and grunting once again, the Never Stand Much too Close to a Bare Person author claimed. “The grunting was section of his offer and he kind of cops to that. He’s gotten aged and he’s moved on.”
The Santa Clause star extra that it was not as basic as he thought it’d be to revisit Tim.
“I did not even feel about what it’d be like actively playing a character that I designed from my phase act 20 several years ago,” Allen advised Us. “I like comedy laid on top of drama or drama laid on top rated of comedy.”
