Wisconsin fisherman’s gear bag is back house again

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A Wisconsin male who supplied a cash reward for his lost equipment bag utilised for ice fishing claims the bag has been found and returned.

NBC15 News aired Travis Dushek’s tale on Friday. He claims on Saturday morning he received a phone that his bag experienced been picked up.


“I just got the call! Many thanks so significantly to you and the information group!” Dushek claimed in an e-mail to reporter Tim Elliott. “Without your aid I would have hardly ever seen it once more! It will be coming property Monday!”

Dushek says he was ice fishing on Extensive Lake outside of Portage on Sunday, January 17th. When his day was carried out, he packed up all his equipment and began hauling every thing away on his 4-wheeler. He thinks someday in the course of his trip back again to shore his equipment bag fell off his sled and onto the ice.

He did not know the bag was missing until finally a number of days later. Dushek states a large amount of gear inside of that bag has sentimental price.

“I experienced some tailor made stuff built from my uncle and some assorted baits that my grandpa gave me all through the several years and people are some matters that dollars simply cannot really get to swap them,” he explained. “I nearly died with that bag. I few a long time back I set my truck via the ice and that was the only issue I bought again from that truck,”

Dushek states the man who discovered his bag doesn’t have social media so he did not see the posts he created about his missing bag. He claims the man’s mother was seeing NBC15 Information and saw the story and informed her son that she noticed the bag on the news.

“So, you saved the day!” Dushek explained in the e mail. “I’m so satisfied you went out of your way to assist me! Thanks again!”

Dushek reported the man who found his bag desired to keep anonymous. No phrase on if the Superior Samaritan accepted Dushek’s $200 supply for a reward.
