A schoolboy has commenced practising ski leaping in his back garden in the hope of building it to the 2026 Winter season Olympics.

George Brown, 13, and his father Stuart have converted their back lawn in Moseley, Birmingham, into a winter season health club complete with a mini ski-bounce on the again measures.

The teen is now the country’s best skier in the below-14 group immediately after switching from gymnastics when he was nine.

Dad Stuart, 46, who runs a catering business, thinks his son 1st bought the flavor for skiing soon after he and spouse Jocelyn, 42, purchased him plastic skis when he was just 18-months outdated.

He said: “His initially ski getaway was in his mum’s stomach and then at 18 months we went out for the first time with him on plastic skis.

“He cherished it and would go ‘ski, ski, ski’.

Stuart added:  “Before lockdown there was not everything improvised, but since lockdown a lot of his training has stopped.

“We have established up circuits in the backyard garden with a combination of skiing and gymnastics movements.

“Since it snowed we even turned the again measures into a mini ski slope which has at the very least specified him a taste of the genuine detail.”
