Property Depot groups with location learners to showcase artwork

Artwork learners in Wayne County are showcasing their operate in the most not likely of sites — how dwelling advancement and artwork are heading hand in hand.

HONESDALE, Pa. — Over the final few of months, driving into Household Depot in the vicinity of Honesdale, there is some thing new lining the driveway to the household advancement retailer.

Art learners from Western Wayne, Wallenpaupack, and Wayne Highlands Faculty Districts developed paintings for art course, and about 20 pieces are on exhibit.

“We determined at the Household Depot that we wished to aid some of the seniors who were carrying out art assignments but didn’t have a prospect to receive feed-back from the public,” explained Household Depot Honesdale Assistant Manager John Grund.

The generosity of the retail outlet didn’t halt at exhibiting the art. The Dwelling Depot also donated all the supplies for the college students to generate their masterpieces.

“I was a very little worried. I was like, ‘I hope we have more than enough.’ And it was just the boards, the paint, and just almost everything, rollers. It was this kind of a present,” said Honesdale Significant College artwork trainer Kathleen Higgins.

The undertaking was encouraged by just one of the Dwelling Depot crew customers in Wayne County who required to enable the students and share it with the neighborhood.
