SHELBURNE, Vt. (WCAX) – A New England eco-pleasant apparel, bedding and household decor organization released a new line Thursday that is encouraged by a Vermont museum’s collection.
Garnet Hill and the Shelburne Museum partnered on the new collection.
The Shelburne Museum has one of the major textile collections in the region and it was a crucial collection for the museum’s founder.
Both equally Garnet Hill’s designer and the Shelburne Museum’s assistant curator instructed us recreating historical collections was a fun practical experience.
“They were sitting down with the genuine textiles and trying to figure out how to approximate a historic color of a textile in a contemporary replica has been it was a great kind of satisfaction to go by means of,” claimed Katie Wood Kirchoff, the assistant curator at the Shelburne Museum.
“Shelburne’s acquired these types of a wide archive that it was like getting a child in a candy retail outlet attempting to decide on just a single of them, so it felt like a really natural healthy,” Garnet Hill Designer Vanessa Romeo explained.
