There have been fears Doreen could contract Covid-19 at Woodside Court although her family had been battling to organise a house care bundle.

In the meantime, she was becoming withdrawn at the absence of make contact with with her spouse and children.

Sonia said: ‘We don’t know how very long she’s acquired. We did not want her to reside the past section of her lifestyle alone, isolated from household. 

‘So we did what we experienced to do to make certain my nan had her relatives back. She was actually begging us. We would go for a go to and she would say “make sure you just get me out of in this article”.

Sonia described organising a treatment bundle for Doreen to enable her to return property as a ‘nightmare’.

She included: ‘It’s taken us about 7 months. We had been making an attempt to get carers sourced by the regular channels.

‘That was not performing. We have been waiting around and waiting around so we finished up using an additional option. I had to place an advert out for seasoned carers, and develop my personal group.’

Sonia mentioned Fife Council’s social function department and Self Directed Support Alternatives (Fife) had helped the household secure a funded care package deal for Doreen.

‘They’ve been incredible. They have guided us by means of the complete detail,’ she said.
