Garden City High School's Keyhana Turner hit four free throws in the closing 30 seconds of the game to help seal a victory Tuesday over Liberal, 42-38, at GCHS. The Buffaloes are now 2-0 in the WAC.

Yard City High School’s basketball groups played their third video games of the period, and in 5 days, on Tuesday, with these online games currently being the household opener for every single.

Although enjoying in entrance of the home crowd, whilst little in numbers with the COVID-19 pandemic protocol, the Buffaloes came absent with a pair of Western Athletic Conference wins around Liberal. The ladies gained a nail biter, 42-38, and the boys grabbed a 71-54 victory.

Entering the girls game, Yard City experienced a 1- file in the WAC and 1-1 general. Liberal experienced a 2- WAC file and was undefeated with a 6- report.

The direct bounced back and forth by way of the initially quarter, with Liberal having a 13-12 guide going into the 2nd. Garden City grabbed the direct heading into halftime 23-18.  The Buffaloes only could handle a pair of 3-pointers in the third quarter but even now held on to a one-level direct, 29-28, going in to the fourth.
