Care Home Transformed Into Buckingham Palace for Queen’s Jubilee

Residents of a care home in Windsor woke up to locate the facility had been transformed into a little Buckingham Palace in celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.

DEBBIE WINWOOD: In Mountbatten Grange, we arrange our things to do based mostly on the residents’ likes and interests. It is advantageous for older folks because celebrating the Jubilee and its reminiscing and it is entertaining.

EMILY GARDINER: It was just terrific to see the residents’ reactions and see them all just come out and enjoy it. But I feel my favourite component would have been the pet dog and viewing everyone’s faces when they saw the corgi running all over.

JAMES MUNDY: It was wonderful enjoyment, extremely effectively organized. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

MARGARET PURVIS: Beautiful cakes. It was all carried out really, quite nicely. A terrific surprise.
