Belfast house burgled and male attacked by trio posing as police

A guy was attacked on Wednesday right after a few adult males wearing ‘police baseball caps’ pushed their way into his house.

Police are investigating the burglary at the property in Salisbury Gardens in North Belfast at close to 5.50pm yesterday.

Three men knocked on the doorway of the house and when the occupant, a male in his 50s answered, the trio pushed previous him into the property.

A PSNI spokesperson explained: “1 of the males assaulted the householder a range of periods, hitting him with an ornament, when an additional went upstairs. All a few fled nonetheless when noticed by a girl in her 30s who was upstairs at the residence.”
