PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla. — Quick action by fire crews prevented extensive damage to a $1.5 million Pensacola Beach home Monday morning.
Escambia County fire crews were called to the two-story home in the 20 block of Calle Hermosa at 6:17 a.m. for a fire.
Upon arrival, smoke and flames were seen coming from the home.
Fire crews had the fire under control by 6:39 a.m.
“Crews arrived on scene and performed an aggressive attack. The company’s quick and aggressive actions prevented any further fire progression and saved a $1.5 million dollar home,” Escambia County tells Channel 3. “The residence did receive fire damage on the exterior and some minor damage to the interior.”

No one was injured in the fire.
The county says the smoke alarms did not function to alert the occupants.
The Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigation is investigating the incident.
Gulf Breeze and Midway Fire Departments assisted in putting the fire out.
